The USA is a huge country consisting of 50 states bounded by two oceans and covering an incredibly varied terrain and contrasting population densities. This creates a wide variety of experiences for the traveller - from intense city scapes with all the non stop action to the uniquely beautiful horizons of its National Parks where you feel you are the only person on the planet. Vast plains, snow-covered mountain ranges, forested rolling hills, deserts, strange rock formations, soaring skyscrapers, stunning coastlines, impressive national parks and a thriving cultural scene; the USA has it all. Nearly all of the National Parks have visitor information centres with courteous park rangers who go out of their way to educate and help visitors enjoy their visit. Whilst the visitor facilities vary from park to park most have a range of services including restaurants or food outlets, education centres and other customer benefits.
